IABC is a professional association of more than 18,000 people in 40 countries. Awards are given annually to recognize outstanding contributions from people and organizations in the communications profession.

Dalton Pen Award, 2001, Community Counts: Report on the Strength of King County Neighborhoods
Warwick Publishing, which bestows the awards, says, "The Dalton Pen program is about honoring those communicators whose projects and programs stand out from other pieces of remarkable work. It is uplifting to be identified as being especially clever, effective or inventive."
